Sr. Product Quality Engineer
Engineer must be capable of leading a small product quality and failure analyses team. The candidates must have a strong technical and analytical background and be comfortable with providing recommendations for SolFocus and/or product and supplier design or process changes. Must be able to manage supporting failure analysis resources when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review CM and supplier manufacturing data and analyze correlation to failure analysis results
- Communicate with Quality and PMO teams on failure analyses procedures and field implications
- Failure analyses of SF field returns and reliability test failures
- Establish and document SF failure analysis processes and fault trees
- Provide repots and conclusions from failure analysis activities to management
- Analyze and make cross functional recommendation from all failure analysis and field data
- Manage and prioritize failure analysis team activities
- Travel to China, Europe and within the US
Skills
- Technical background and demonstrate the analytical thought processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to provide cross functional direction based on FA and analyses.
- Leadership skills
Qualifications
- 10 years product engineering or failure analyses in PV or similar high tech industry.
- 3-5 years as an engineering lead
- Masters Degree in Engineering or related discipline or BS degree plus equivalent experience.
- Experience in QA in a manufacturing or customer support beneficial
- Engineering documentation and database analyses skills (Agile, Oracle, Sigmaquest or similar)
